Oh, it's birthday time again. Normally I love birthdays, but for whatever reason this year was just not so exciting. Maybe because I spent last year in Vegas...
Or maybe because I'm not JUST 30... I'm "in" my 30s now. Not loving that.
Still, my day started out with a trip to the gym, which was a short work-out because my bestie treated me to an early breakfast at Panera Bread. That was a really great surprise! And a yummy one, too.
I also got a sweet delivery of flowers from my mom & dad. Precious.
These little girls loved the flowers also...
The girls and I spent the morning at the splash pad with my twin mom group. Well, "spent" is a loosely used term since most play dates are just chasing the girls and very little social time.
Kyler LOVED it. I knew she would. Kid was in the water having a blast!
And where was Kate??? As far away from the water as possible. I don't think she got a drop on her the whole time...
See that tiny little blue speck by the bench? That's my Kate.
Semi-group photo with some twin friends...
I loaded the girls in the wagon and we headed across the street to the actual playground. Much more Kate's speed...
Cute little water bug didn't mind too much either...
Nap time and work-from-home-dad meant mommy got to go have a massage. Gift certificate I've been saving since Valentine's day...
A little basket of goodies KG put together for me...
That evening KG took me to dinner at Atami, one of my fave sushi places, and then we headed to downtown Bryan to a great little wine bar.
And that was that.
And now I'm 31.
