Today we got up (in our hotel room), and decided we were going to go see Uncle Drew at work since we were so super close. I had just been to TCU the weekend before, but it was fun to have KG with me and take the girls.
Drew was in a meeting most of the morning, so we killed time by walking around campus...
In these pictures the girls are "flying" down the ramps by holding their arms in the air. Who knew that would be so fun??
{KM in yellow, EK in orange}
We finally got up to these fountains where I promised the girls they would get to play with some water, and they weren't on. FAIL.
Mommy trying to take a pic with her girls... FAIL.
But we moved on the the perfectly manicured flower beds... and picked some flowers.
On the way back, we went right down the middle on the grass (being an Aggie, I had a really hard time walking on the grass, but Drew had assured me that it was ok here)...
It was super hot, so I went in and got us all some waters...
After a water break, we met up with Uncle Drew. We went in his office and tried to break some stuff. And afterwards, we went back over to the student union (not what they call it) and had lunch together. The girls chowed down, and crawled under the booth, and unfortunately I don't think Drew is allowed in there anymore. Or maybe its just us...
But the best story of the day... when we were in Drew's office area, the girls were wandering around. There happens to be a glass door and a big floor length glass window in the foyer area. Well... as we were standing there, I guess Kyler decided she wanted to go outside, and she walked right into the glass window. Bumped her little head, knocked her down and she started crying. I feel really bad now, but we all just (including mommy) died laughing. Oops.
After lunch, the girls and I ditched KG with Josh and headed back to the hotel for naps. Which was NOT. FUN.
But eventually KG showed back up and so did Grandmother and Grandaddy!! And we were off the the rehearsal.
But I desperately needed something to drink, so we pulled into this Chicken Express and ordered teas... Kyle told them the biggest size they had. The picture does not do it justice. The lid had a handle.
After we "rehearsed", and I think the little girls did as good as could be expected, they got to go with Grandmother & Grandaddy, and mommy & daddy went to the rehearsal dinner.
I got this picture from Grandmother... Kyler at Cracker Barrel...
And check out my enchilada plate. Heaven. One of each kind.
