This weekend we headed up to Aledo for a family picnic... but not our family, one of KG's college friends' family picnic. It really was a big backyard party... yummy catered Mexican food, a bounce house and pony rides for the kids, a live band... it was awesome. And we had a great time. Unfortunately, the girls were totally off schedule and melted down pretty early, so we weren't there very long at all. But we did manage to get a few pictures...

KG's friend, Christopher with EK
Christopher is sporting the commemorative t-shirt we all for for attending... even the girls got one! Christopher also has a little girl about the same age as our girls.
Oh, and the pony rides!!!
I have a little side story first... I've been working with the girls on saying "neigh" for a horse. I've heard EK a few times, but not sure it really had stuck. On this trip we actually stayed the night with another of KG's friends (Jason) who had a little girl (Kerrington) the same age as the girls. Kerrington has a little toy rocking horse, which upon seeing, EK said "neigh." I was pumped and figured she finally got it. And then we saw the ponies... and she said "neigh". I'm not sure I could have been more proud. Then we went back to Jason's and their big yellow lab came in the house... EK pointed and said "neigh." Oh well.

While her sister was on the pony, KM occupied herself with some of the games they had...
Later, both girls got in on the bean bag toss...
Back at Jason's, the girls were both happy to see their Uncle Josh... even KM.
Sunday we hung around so KG could watch the Cowboy's game... and KM played with the rocking horse.
All those girls!
EK really liked Kerrington's metal top...
Until KM had to steal the show by climbing up on the ottoman all by herself.
The girls even got to spend some time with Ms. Kasey!

The boys with their baby girls... (check this pic out from the last time).
I'm pretty sure Sherry Lee came to see Kerrington, but EK took full advantage of a new book reader...
We had a great time, but a TERRIBLE trip home. I think we hit all the Cowboy's traffic back south down 35 and were stop and go for a long time. We finally stopped in Waco and ate at Cracker Barrel with the girls...

And then we gave them a little play time in the back of the car before getting back in the car seats and getting home.
We had a great time and played with so many friends! I'm sure we will be back sometime soon. I love that so many of KG's friends have little girls all the same age... I can't wait for them to play and play.
