Positano

Kyle and I went to Positano to spend a day (Adam and Kristen went on to Rome). We rode the bus over to Positano from Sorrento... a bus trip that was right on the edge of the mountain. When we looked out the window, all we could see was water! When we got there the bus dropped us at the top of the town, and we walked down about 400 stairs to get to the beach!

This is the view from the top where the bus dropped us off.

This view is looking back up from the beach.

This is a restaurant/hotel where we ate lunch. We sat right under the white awning, and it looks out over the beach and ocean. The food was wonderful, also. I had deep fried ravioli and pasta with meat sauce, and Kyle had vegetable soup and tagliatelle with wild boar sauce. It was the nicest, most relaxing lunch.

After lunch we walked around in all the little shops. We decided that we did not want to walk up all the stairs to the bus stop, so we took the ferry back to Sorrento. It was the hottest day we had in Italy, but when we got back to Sorrento it was cold and rainy!
