Lake Como

Our second stop in Italy was Lake Como. We actually stayed in a little town called Caddenabbia, which is right on the lake. The main tourist town that most stay in is Bellagio, and it was just across the lake from us. As you can tell from the pictures, it was very cloudy and actually rained the day we got there. We had to take a ferry from another little town that had a train station called Varenna. It rained all through the ferry ride. When we got to Caddenabbia, it rained as we walked the "200 meters" to our hotel. At that point in the trip we all got the giggles because the cars driving by us on the street were splashing water up on us the whole way. Luckily, our hotel had a restaurant so after we dried out, we got to stay in and eat. After dinner it stopped raining.

We stopped and ate lunch at this place on our way back to the train station. It was a cute little place that had the best ravioli! It may have been the best all trip. Kyle got a plate of sliced prosciutto and Adam had vegetable soup, that I think everyone also loved.

Villa Carlotta

This place was on Cadenabbia and it had some beautiful gardens all around it. We didn't have time to see all the gardens, but we did get to go inside the villa.

Funny story... Adam walked up behind Kristen and pretended he was going to throw her over the edge. She didn't have her camera around her neck and it scared her. She got onto Adam and then, a bird poo-ed on him. Kristen thought it was hilarious! Moral of the story... be very nice to your wife.
