We had a lot of things going on today. But all fun!!!
Kate is in a phase where she likes to pick out her clothes and that mostly (like 99% of the time) includes wearing a dress. I kind of love that. Today's dress... a gift from Grandmother.
We took the girls to Wings N More for lunch. They ate so good, and it was a good little family meal.
After naps we had our pre-Advent celebration! It included mini cupcakes (purchased by Daddy)...
And the girls opened their first Advent gift... a little people Nativity set. I have little activities planned for the next 24 days leading up to Christmas. I'm not sure if it is my Lutheran upbringing or my German heritage or a little of both, but I love Advent. It is a little odd to me to attend a church were Advent is never even mentioned, and I just had to include it at home for my girls. I think (hope) it will give them a great sense of the holiday season and what it means, and not just focus on Christmas day and gifts. Time will tell I suppose.
But I wanted to start with the Nativity set so we could talk about it, and teach the girls what Chtistmas is about (as much as they could understand anyway).
And we finished up our evening with a girl sleepover!!! The Hawkins girls came over and we had so much fun with them!!!
Silly faces...
I seriously love these girls.
After a great nights sleep, we started our morning with snuggles and homemade waffles!!!
