Pappy's Party Weekend

We headed to Gville for the weekend again... we are trying to spend every minute we can with Pappy before he leaves, and this weekend we were celebrating his birthday/going away with some friend and family. If there is one thing my parents rock at, it is throwing a party... food, snacks, fun, people. I love it. And I love being there.

We started our weekend off with a Friday night dinner at El Tapitio. Kyler knows the importance of picking the right meal...

Kate was really just interested in chips... and only semi at that.

Saturday morning at YaYa's... no diapers required.

But hats are required...

YaYa's chocolate chip cookies are also required...

We spent all afternoon on Saturday outside. Lots of playing and discovering for the girls...

Pappy & Kate...

Molly was loving all the outside time... remember Molly?? :)

Aunt Becca is still alive... promise. Dog didn't leave her side.

Pappy enlisted KG for help in putting up the girls swings!

Water break with my girls!

Kyler put YaYa to work when we got inside!

Not sure why, but the girls still love this thing and fight over it regularly...

Kyler in Mitch's hat... you can see him and Aunt Becca standing watch!

And watch out... if you have a drink, its pretty much guaranteed that Kate is coming after it.

See what I mean?

Sweetest picture with sweet folded hands...

Kate and Grandpa at the table...

Silly girl with that tongue out!

This weekend was also the Gville prom, and Miranda was going with her bf. She got ready at our house and he came and picked her up with all of the crazy people around. Brave guy!

After the girls went to bed, mom and I joined Miranda's fam at prom to watch everyone walk in. It's like a Gville tradition, and pretty fun actually. They have a red carpet and an announcer that announces everyone's name before they walk down. Nice.

Love this... designed by a guy I graduated with.

Another wonderful weekend in Gville with my family!!! There is something about going home that just seems to make everything right in the world!
