Easter Weekend #1

We had a great Easter weekend!

Granddaddy & Grandmother came down late Thursday night, and were ready to play on Friday. We all got up and went to Round Top for some antique shopping, then headed to Brenham to the Antique Rose Emporium. We finally headed home after that and the girls had a nap... and by the time we got home, Uncle Shane and Aunt Crystal had made it to our house!

We spent the evening hanging out, cooked a yummy dinner and had some good quality family catch up time.

Some fun things I saw at Round Top...

I'm totally obsessed with S's right now...

I don't know what that stuffed animal is, but KG convinced Kyler to give it a little kiss.

Kyler did a little rearranging of some metal roosters/dogs/whatever...

This was a weird little swing/glider thing. It had two seats on a track and slide back and forth.

Kate really enjoyed playing with the rocks...

A short nap in the car, a little Sonic lunch, and we were at the Antique Rose Emporium...

I'm pretty sure these wagons were for plants you were buying, but we dumped in some girls and went...

I feel certain I just asked Kyler to do something that she didn't want to do...

And this water fountain... MOST. FUN. EVER.

Notice how my little water baby (Kyler) is all wet in the front... from the fountain.

Sweet little Kate just posing so nicely for me!

Saturday Aunt Crystal and Grandmother went to the mall with us to get the girls picture with the Easter Bunny. I expected them to cry. I did NOT expect that I would have to be in the picture also.

We headed to lunch at BJ's Brewhouse to meet the boys after the bunny. Kate was NOT interested in even attempting to act like a sweet girl, so she and I spent some time in the car and everyone brought my lunch home.

Saturday afternoon, we just played. Everyone kinda hung out around the house, we had dinner, and the girls went to bed. KG, Uncle Shane and Grandmother went to the the local brewery tour in the evening, and Granddaddy got to stay at the house with me and Aunt Crystal and watch a chick flick. I'm sure that was the best part of his weekend. :)

Grandmother brought her Joker board, and she bought some marbles at Round Top... and like any good Grandmother, she let the girls play with the marbles and throw them all over. I actually found a couple after the weekend was over. Exactly why only a Grandmother would allow marble playing... this mother would not. :)
