St. Patty's Weekend

We had a busy weekend in Gville at YaYa & Pappy's!!! And we even got to see some aunts and cousins.

Late Friday afternoon the girls and I headed to Gville to let KG spend the weekend watching basketball... the biggest college basketball weekend of all time... in the past, I've looked forward to it as well. Babies change things. One day I'll be able to watch with him again. We got to Gville and went straight to Andy's for dinner with YaYa & Pappy, Aunt Becca and my Uncle Freddie. The girls were up past 8pm by the time we got home, played outside and got beds ready!

The big milestone of the trip... I turned their car seats around. I was determined to wait until age 2 like they recommend now, but I gave in.

On Saturday we got up early and headed to Goldthwaite for my cousin's baby shower (she's having twins!). The girls did really great at the shower, and they got to see their aunts and some cousins and Granny Hodges! After the shower, we went to Dairy Queen to get the girls some lunch, and it was a huge mistake. They had fallen asleep, and I should have left them instead of trying to get lunch. They only wanted to eat the ice out of their cups… I took them away, and it was a complete meltdown. I carried Kate out under my arm with her screaming and crying and flailing to put her in the car. It took the girls a long time to settle down and they only ended up getting a 40 minute nap. It made for a VERY. LONG. afternoon and evening.

Home and all are grumpy

We went out walking around in the pastures to burn some energy and maybe get in a little better moods...
Kyler found Pappy's truck and climbed right up into the back of it.

Sunday morning, the girls slept in a little bit, but we got up and went to Cowboy Church with YaYa & Pappy. The girls did pretty good… ate raisins and waved at people. We all took naps that afternoon (me included), and then headed home that evening. The girls were happy when we got home to their toys, Molly & daddy!
