Southern Living Idea Home

For some reason, we got the crazy idea to go to the Southern Living Idea Home near Marble Falls. We includes KG, the babies, Tami & Andrew and their daughter Ashlynn.

Here we are... ready to hit the road!
{KM, KG, EK}

KG & KM needed to have a moment first...

We actually stopped for lunch in Austin and then headed out on the last part of the drive. This is one of my favorite areas of Texas, and I felt so sad as we drove... there was so much of it that was burned. I knew that wildfires were everywhere due to the extreme drought, but once you see it in real life... a whole new perspective.

The home itself I thought was weird. It didn't flow very well, had a small kitchen (with NO upper cabinets)... just weird. Not like the home in Bryan that was awesome.

EK enjoyed playing on a bed for a bit though...

The community the house was in was nice... dry and dead, but nice. And tons of deer just standing everywhere...

We stopped in Georgetown for dinner, and then decided to hit Ikea in Round Rock. EK chilled in the shopping cart for a bit.

It was late when we left and we had full on baby meltdowns. We pushed them hard all day, but they really did so great. It helped that we had two more adults and Ashlynn who totally kept the girls occupied in the care! Thank goodness!

Fun day trip though!
