Well, I turned 30 this year.
And I really celebrated with our trip to Vegas, which was awesome.
But on my actual birthday, we planned to go to dinner with our friends Tami & Andrew. HA. Babies laugh in the face of plans. EK was fine all day, but that evening she felt a little warm, and then felt like the perfect gift for me would be to throw up on me before bed. Awesome. And may I add that she ate A LOT of avocado for dinner. And may I also point out, this is the first time I've been thrown up on by my girls (or anyone else for that matter). Not super fun, and not how I had planned to spend my birthday.
So, we canceled the baby-sitter and stayed home. But Tami and Andrew ordered Chuy's and brought it over and we hung out at the house. And that was really just as fun. Good times with friends. And I was close by so I didn't have to worry about my little baby too much.
A few days later, we decided to go for dinner. So KG called and rescheduled our reservation at The Republic and off we went.
Nice restaurants around here aren't plentiful, and usually we go to Christopher's, but I decided to spice things up a bit, and I'm glad I did. Dinner was fab, friends were great.
It was a nice belated birthday. ;)
