eight months

My loves,

Oh you sweet baby girls. You are so crazy!!!

This month has been HUGE! I am officially home everyday with you and maybe that is why I feel like you have changed more this month than any other so far.

One thing that just melts my heart is how you have both started noticing each other. Playing on the floor or sitting in high chairs... you both look at each other and will laugh and smile and chat. It is adorable!!!

We had to lower your crib beds this month also. One day at nap time, EK wouldn't stop crying... I went in and she was sitting up in the crib. I didn't know that you could go from laying to sitting! Several days following that KM was trying to pull up and I picked her up out of the crib, looked over and EK had pulled up with arms hanging over the edge. Daddy was out of town that day, so I set up pack n plays for the day. The next day the cribs were lowered. It is a good thing because now KM can pull up into a complete standing position!!!

You are both so much more mobile! I wouldn't say we are completely crawling, but you are both super close. You can both scoot across the living room and love to bang things on the tile floor.

What a smiley baby you are!!! It doesn't take much to get a giant smile from you! And it is adorable.

You have been working on crawling for a while. You haven't gotten it down completely, but you can sure move across a room. And you finally learned how to go from laying to sitting, which has been huge for you! You also like to get up on your hands and feet in a yoga downward facing dog position. Its too funny.

You can sit well... you just don't stay that way for long! It seems you would rather be on your tummy now, trying to move around.

You are still a great (most of the time) eater. Just recently have you started not always finishing your bottles, and you are up for any new food I bring out. Now, you didn't really care for turkey, but you still try. You LOVE fruits. I call you my little fruit bug. If you are losing interest in eating, I just slip in some fruit and I've got your attention!

You have started talking all the time! You used to be pretty quiet, but now you are always chatting... and making this funny grunting noise. Your daddy and I get quite a laugh out of it!

You my little one are still fighting some naps, but you NEED them. It makes for a long afternoon when my little K-bug doesn't get her naps!!

One more thing... I can always make you laugh by blowing and kissing on your belly. And you laugh hard!

Oh my tiny baby. You have the bluest eyes and I see that I may have a hard time telling you "no" in the future.

You are a champion sitter. And like I mentioned earlier, can go from laying to sitting very easily and especially at bedtime.

You are such a great player. You will get some toys and sit and play with them for so long. I'm amazed at how well you entertain yourself.

You also still LOVE Molly. And you've learned how to get her toys and shake them around to get her to come close to you. And you just laugh and squeal. You are just sooo happy when she plays with you. I love it.

You certainly can put up a fight at naps. You usually do pretty good early in the day, but the later it gets, the less likely you are to nap. And it amazes me at how well you do when you go without a good afternoon nap!

I really think you are liking real food better than bottles. Most days you eat such a good dinner. You are a little particular when it comes to trying new things and wow, can you make some faces. Daddy and I think it is funny though. After a few times of the same thing, you eventually give in. Still not really an apple fan, but wow you can eat some bananas!

Little Monkey... you are super ticklish on your ribs and will laugh uncontrollably when I get them.

I adore you both. You are getting to the age now where we can play and interact and I love it. I'm just amazed watching you grow and learn.
