the worst birthday ever...

KG has some really fun friends from college that we don't see very much. It seems like since everyone has kiddos, we see the less. Which is why when we got the invite to celebrate Christopher's birthday, we were in. Plus they have 2 kids and we haven't seen them ever!

We left on a Friday and headed north. We ended up stopping for dinner at our fave, Taco Bueno. We got there and this little girl came in with her grandmother and was totally infatuated with the girls. She picked the table right behind us and spent most of the dinner like this:
We got there pretty late on Friday, put the girls to bed, and hung out for a while. The next day we had a great breakfast courtesy of Tiffany, and then we all headed out to play golf, which consisted of hitting the ball to a bucket placed around the house. It started out with the whole group, but some of us gals and babies broke off about halfway through.

We had many strollers...
KM
And Christopher & Tiffany's little 4 month old, Taylor Jo & EK

Of course my girls didn't stay in the stroller for longer than a minute, so we borrowed some of the dreaded carriers. KG always wanted one, and I fought it. But after this weekend, I have to admit, they are pretty handy. And both girls where happy as could be. Still, Tiffany had to help me strap in KM.

The golf competition...

KG made fun of me and was determined to get a pic... so I gave in... me and KM.

The weather was great... and actually a little hot. And sunny. (You'll notice here that Tiffany had to strap in EK and wear her because she was also over the stroller. What is it with my girls?? I'd love someone to push me around all day.) But I was worried about the girls getting too much sun, so we thought some umbrellas might help. Turns out, you just don't realize how windy it is until you have an umbrella...

After the golfing and some naps, it was hot tub time. So we sunscreened up the girls...

And they hopped in with their daddy.

EK thought Brazos (Tiffany & Christoper's little boy) was hilarious!

And they also met Andrew's little boy, Luke.

There were 4 little babies all born within 6 weeks of each other!

EK venturing out in the water...

And playing with Christopher...

KM getting a little swim time...

And Taylor Jo did a little modeling for us...

When the girls finally got out, EK's feet were so wrinkled!!!

KM snuggled up with her daddy.

And some cute pics of EK with her sweet beach towel from Tiffany!

And the reason we were there...
BTW... might have been the best cake I've ever eaten.

Got some cute pics of the girls...

Then we added Brazos...
And then Miss Taylor Jo...
What a cute bunch!!!!

Saturday night Christopher, Jason & Tiffany fixed a delicious steak dinner. We had salad and mac & cheese and asparagus and bread and green bean... it was so good. But it was ready and we were set-up to eat outside. Apparently a cold front blew in and it was WINDY and COLD outside. And then some babies needed attention, so it took a lot to get everyone out and seated and the food was getting cold. Then the steaks were pretty well done, which was perfect for me, but everyone else was giving Jason a hard time. So Christopher kept refering to this as the worst birthday dinner ever... it was funny. But it all worked out. However, we did move inside for cake!

And that was our weekend. We had a GREAT time.
