So, at some point in time, KG became interested in brewing his own beer. Cool. He got a book and read all about it and spent some time deciding what his first brew would be. Then he headed to a special store in Austin and got his supplies. Then he turned my kitchen into a brewery one Saturday.
But this is a loooong process. You brew. You bottle a week or so later. And then you wait at least 3 weeks before trying the beer. Maybe longer.
But... step #1, brew #1: Hefeweizen
He chose this one for the first one because, really, it is our favorite kind of beer. Mine especially.

And the brewer at work...

The brewing process went pretty well. It did take a LONG time for KG to get the pot of water boiling, and when he added the hops, the girls and I ran out of the kitchen because I'm pretty sure something was alive in the pot. But so good so far.
