5 Years

Five years. FIVE. It is really unbelievable.

This year was a little different from past anniversaries...


Our anniversary fell on a Friday, which meant KG's mom left in the afternoon and my mom was on her way to town to help with the babies for the weekend. So we had a little time alone with babies. I made us dinner and we ate with babies... check out our set-up:

When my mom got to our house, she suggested KG & I go out... for something. So we went to Olive Garden for dessert... and my first glass of wine since these babies. We were only gone for about 45 minutes, but it was great. We had some bread sticks & Alfredo sauce, and then their sugar donuts dipped in chocolate sauce. Yum.

Gotta love the still swollen look I was sporting... I mean, it was only 10 days post-babies.

And that was that. Different, but it was nice to get out of the house for a bit. Not exactly how I had envisioned our five year anniversary, but we are just getting started... we have many, many more to come.
