a few things I don't want to forget...

1. These babies are tricky.

Last Saturday, I felt amazing... the best I've felt since about February. It was awesome. I was officially 13 weeks on Saturday. "Maybe this is the turning point," I thought.

WRONG.

Those babies got me on Sunday. I love Schlotzsky's. The babies don't. Let's leave it at that.

2. Wednesday night/Thursday morning I experienced a first. I woke up at about 330 a.m. and I was STARVING. I had some Honey Nut Cheerios. Yum. Woke up at 8 a.m. and felt certain I hadn't eaten in DAYS. Not cool, babies, not cool.

3. I still probably look like I've just been overindulging in donuts to other people, but this week we (KG & I) noticed a serious roundness to my belly. Grow, babies, grow!

4. Last week I packed up all of my winter clothes and most of my normal fitting pants (jeans and work pants included). I have a few pairs of "work pants" that have always been loose (i.e. they require a belt at all times). Of course lately, no belt required, but they are actually still comfortable to wear, so I kept those in the closet. SURPRISE. Remember #3... well, this week, those pants are what I like to call "baby-squishers".

In other baby news...

Foods I can't get enough of include:
lemon juice (from concentrate)
sour gummy candies
green beans
mashed potatoes
BBQ baked potatoes
watermelon

The craziness of pregnancy is to prepare you for the craziness of parenthood. I kept food and water by my bed at all times and had to eat something every hour during the day so I wouldn't get sick. And if you decide to breastfeed, the nighttime cravings only get worse! I ate a lot of wheat thins during my pregnancy and the first few months after Annelise was born...
