This past weekend was our annual Spencer Brothers Adventure (we went to the lake last year, but you will have to check out my SIL's blog for that memory). This year we all met up in CS to hang out and go to the Renaissance Festival. We had a great, great weekend together!
Friday Adam, Kristen & Caden got to CS early in the afternoon. Kristen and I did a little shopping, we took some family Christmas photos (just wait until you see those...), and then I fixed an Italian Feast for dinner. I thought it was pretty fab, and we were sad that Shane & Crystal had to miss out on that for Subway... bummer.

Kyle got to spend mucho quality time with little Caden...
she also had a FAB time with Caden.
I'm not sure what Caden was looking at, but I liked the pic because you can see both KG's controller and Caden's.

This is a hat that Caden borrowed from our roomie Josh.
I mean, could he be ANY CUTER???
And Saturday after breakfast, it was off to the Ren Fest...
You never know what you might see there...
For example...
Or this????
I'm not sure the baby was really in to the parade...
SCARY!!!
Cute pic of Shane & Crystal...
I was a little jealous of that by the end of the day when I was tired.
(P.S. Notice the swamp thing in the background...)
One of the best parts of the day was the live joust. We were in the France section and cheered for Sir Phillipe. This was our joust maiden who told us when to cheer and when to boo...
And our esteemed knight.
We got to the joust super early so we would have good seats and were in the front row... this little man had plenty of room to roam back and forth (or to follow the kettle korn, which he loved).
Proof that Caden did tear himself away from the kettle korn and watch some of the joust.
More quality time with his uncle KG.
And our maiden straight up stole a kiss!!
And there was a little proof on the check for the rest of the day.
Camel rides!
We had the most fun asking Caden what elephants say... to which he would respond by sticking his arm up like a trunk!!!!
(And you can see by the pictures, we may have gotten a little carried away with how many times we asked.)
Crystal & Shane with the elephant.
Me & KG
we thought the turkey leg background was appropriate.
Shane, Crystal, and her kettle korn at the "Birds of Prey" show... I think Shane loved it! And I have to admit, it was pretty cool... and only slightly scary when the birds flew so close to our heads over the crowd!
And a couple of owl pics for you... can you see the horns???
After the Fest, we went back home and decided we needed Mexican food for dinner, so I took everyone to my fave Mi Cocina (not like the Dallas one)! Caden may have gotten a little carried away with the salsa, but I think everyone else enjoyed! We wrapped up the weekend with church on Sunday morning and a little lunch at Rudy's BBQ.
It was a GREAT adventure and I can't wait for next year!!!
