Riviera Maya

KG & I went down to Mexico for the wedding of one of his cousins. We had a great time, and it ended up being the weekend of our anniversary, so we had an extra reason to celebrate!

KG went on a scuba dive excursion with his mom, and I stayed at the resort on the beach. What a perfect view... I love the beach!!

On his dive, KG found a top secret locker key that he was convinced held millions of dollars. Unfortunately, we were unable to locate the secret locker.

On Thursday night, there was a little meet and greet to see everyone who had made the trip down to Mexico. It was that night that we first met Lorriane, who would be marrying KG's cousin Philip. She was so sweet and very personable and always laughing!

On Friday night, we had the rehearsal dinner. These dinner's in KG's family are pretty fun because after the meal, everyone gets to get up and tell stories about the bride and groom. And since most of us had just met the bride, it was a great time. KG's uncle wrote a song for his son and his bride, and it was a great song with MANY laughs (and you can see the bride and groom jamming in the background)...

The ceremony set-up on the beach...

It cooled down quite a bit that evening and clouded up a little over us. But looking out over the ocean, we could see the storms. It was really cool. And it never rained on us the whole night!!!

The sweetest little flower girl you've ever seen...

Found her daddy...

The groom and his 2 brothers.

Always laughing...

The Kiss.

Pic is a little blurry, but I love Philip's face. And he has a beautiful bride!

The new married couple

Me & my KG

I loved the purple flowers... very beachy.

KG's grandparents...
PopPop is actually the one who married us, and I even lived with them twice before KG & I got married!

Cocktail Hour.

The bride's cake.

This is Philip explaining the groom's cake. They have a tradition in Brazil where there are many cake toppers fashioned to resemble the bride and groom. It was very neat, and then each table got their very own groom's cake! I got pictures of all but one of the toppers...

Since Lorriane lived in Brazil and Philip in Texas while they were dating, they communicated on Skype. Skype was a common theme throughout the weekend! (This topper is the bride coming through the computer screen and the rest are pretty easy to get.)
