The Inaugural Southwest Classic...

This weekend was the first Southwest Classic in Arlington at Cowboys Stadium. We played our old Southwest Conference foes, the Arkansas Razorbacks.

KG & I left for Dallas on Friday afternoon. We stayed with my friend, Monay and had a lovely dinner at my FAVE Italian place, Campisi's.

Saturday we were up and at'em and headed to Arlington. We met up with some of my work friends to get there early and get our tailgate spots secured and set-up. We had a great location, lots of food and lots of friends. We did get some rain, but that wasn't too bad... however, I do NOT even want to think about the actual game.

I actually got to go into the stadium early in the afternoon with Drew. We walked all around and I got to go into the press box and the control room. It was pretty cool!

After the game we all came back out to the tailgate, but it had been raining all during the game so their was water standing in the grass. We still stayed out there for a while and everyone ate again. Once the traffic died down, we started packing up and headed to the hotel.

Sunday we slept in and it was wonderful! The rain was still coming down, which made sleeping even better! After we finally got up, we had lunch at Mi Cocina (Dallas style) with JJ & Paul and then we all headed back home.

It was a fun weekend, but I am worn out!!!!

Man I miss Roger Creager. He never comes up here :) Though we did get to see Robert Earl Keen.
