Molly

Well, we finally did it. KG and I have been thinking about getting another dog for a while, but we just couldn't seem to do it. Some of our friends were talking about going to Canton this Saturday, and Kyle said we should go and check out DogTown... so we did. I had no idea what to expect because I have never been to Canton, but I was amazed at how many dogs they had. We actually went thinking about getting a miniature schnauzer, but we ended up with a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. KG definitely wants another hunting dog, but until he has a place to hunt, he has decided to put that on hold.

So, I saw this puppy in one of the first booths, but didn't think we would be able to get her. After walking through all the dogs, she and one other dog were the only ones that really stood out to me, and the other one we never could find again. We went back and held her, and the lady made us a deal. So, here she is...

MOLLY
Big, sweet eyes...

She's only 8 weeks old, so she's a little squirt still!

Here she is spending some quality time with KG.

This morning I put Molly in our bed with KG while I got in the shower. Once he got up, we thought she would wake up, but she didn't move. She stayed snuggled down in the bed. SO CUTE!

This afternoon she fell asleep on my lap while I was at the computer. It looks like she's sitting up, but she's actually laying on my lap with her head on the keyboard drawer.

She's already quite a mess. I've learned that she loves to chew on any electrical cords, including those to the computer and cell phone charges. We got her a little collar today and put a bell on it since she's so small. The bell has totally confused her and she tries to scratch her collar and the bell off as she walks, which makes walking difficult and is pretty entertaining.

Last night she went with us to hang out with some of our friends. They have a black lab, Beau, who was quite the protector. He just followed her around... I'm not sure he could figure her out, but he was so sweet to her... considering he is soooo much bigger! She was also really interested in Drew's wine... so seems she was meant to be ours!

Oh my goodness! She is adorable! Don't you just love puppies? They are so much fun. I've never seen a black cocker spaniel before. She is really pretty!
