Birthday

My birthday fell on a Saturday this year... and I was excited to sleep in and enjoy the day. However, my Granny thought it would be funny to call me at 655 AM. And then another phone call at 815 AM and I gave up on sleeping in. My parents came down for the day... which I enjoyed, but was bittersweet since I had to say good bye to my dad... never fun.


The evening celebration started after a recovery nap and we went to Christopher's (which is an amazing restaurant in CS) with a group of friends and it was great fun. The only sad part is that I didn't bring my camera and neither did anyone else... so this was the only photo, courtesy of Drew's phone. By the way, that is my chocolate tort dessert which was AMAZING... and totally worth getting a year older.

And as soon as it was here, it was over and back to work... back to the craziness that is the week before the first football game... hopefully we will all survive it! Just wanted to say thank you to all my friends and family who called, sent cards and celebrated with me (I'd list all the names, but I was overwhelmed and since I'm old now, I'd probably leave someone out)... I felt very loved!

Also, a special note to my dear friend Karie... while she didn't make it to CS to celebrate with me on Saturday night, I guess that's okay since she was off getting ENGAGED!!! Congratulations KarBear!!! I am so happy for you!!! And of course, pictures...
